Bradford NH Community Profile & History

Bradford, New Hampshire is a small town in western New Hampshire's scenic Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee region. Settled in 1772, Bradford was incorporated just nine days after the Constitution was adopted in 1787. Originally granted as New Bradford in 1771, the town was later called Bradfordton, then finally Bradford upon incorporation in 1787.

Nestled among the mountains and lakes of the upper Connecticut River valley, Bradford is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 103 and scenic Route 114. Our many beaches and proximity to three state parks and ski areas make Bradford a year-round vacation community. Several local inns and bed & breakfast establishments accommodate visitors in true country style.
