Southampton MA Community Profile & History
Southampton, Massachusetts started out as a farming community and has retained much of its agricultural atmosphere through the years, although there are few farms left. The center of town is small, but with an increasing population, there is more involvement in community functions.
Residents and guests have been proud to celebrate the Town's founding with Old Home Days, which is marked with picnics, parades, history lessons, children's story hour, art exhibits, car shows and dances.
