Hartland, Connecticut is a town on the Massachusetts border in northwestern Connecticut. Settled on a grant given to proprietors from Hartford in 1720, Hartland was originally incorporated in 1761. While early industries in Hartland included saw mills, grist mills, and tanneries, the town remains predominantly residential in nature to this day.
